Grade 3 Explorations in Symmetry

Students in Grade 3 explored the concept of symmetry by using the online paint program Sumo Paint (http://www.sumopaint.com). Students created beautiful designs that had anywhere from 6 to over 50 points of symmetry.

Grade 3 States Trading Cards

Students in Grade 3 created trading cards on states they had studied in class. Trading cards were created in Microsoft Word. To create the cards, students inserted a table, changed the layout of the table, then inserted shapes, pictures and text. Students looked up information about their states on World Book Student Research site.

4th Grade Explorers Webpages

Students in Grade 4 created webpages using the online webpage creator site, "Web Poster Wizard". Webpages were created on Hernan Cortes, Gaspar de Portola, Sebastian Vizcaino and Juan Cabrillo. Students were required to research their explorer, add in text, images and links to create their webpages. Completed webpages can be viewed by at the Web Poster Wizard site. Once on the site, proceed to the bottom of the page and search by Teacher Name. The teacher name to use in the search is "tpeslajolla".
